The use of video to enrich the set design is what makes this project original. It is based on a very visual approach. The following images were taken from a research workshop held in September 2008.
I on the sky... a bench, in the wind. On a bench, before your eyes, life goes by... growing and emerging as unpredictably as cloud shapes.
Clouds keep a lasting account of the state of the world, its laughter and tears, its joy and sorrows, its loneliness and encounters... and moments of exhilaration.
I on the sky... We are all outcasts. Moving abroad, far from loved ones, far from home, is a requirement.
I on the sky... on a bench Where truly stunning and surprising encounters
that transform your life... can happen
I on the sky... is designed to be a bright, joyful and fresh production
about life, exile and hope that all who step out of life leave behind...
hope that life will go on.
Created and directed by the company's new coartistic director Yves Simard, this wordless theatre of acrobatic and poetic movement is in line with the company's artistic approach of developing images tinged with visual poetry.
