The fiery and boundless energy of three boys contrasts with a heavy secret that two of them are carrying. Jack and Marty, the older brothers, try to keep the whole thing under a veil of secrecy while Gabriel, the youngest, instinctively senses a presence around him.

Description

Overburdened with a secret that, once brought back to light, subsides.

A set made up of ladders of all kinds acts as a backdrop for Ghosts and ladders with its three acrobat performers and one accordion player who make use of movement, music and poetic images to uncover a drama buried in their family past.

The starting point is a mysterious presence that crops up in the boy's every day life. The ghost sends Gabriel on the elusive trail of a vanished sister.

With its areas of shadows and light, secrets and confessions, twists and turns and ups and downs, Ghosts and ladders follows Gabriel as he gradually takes ownership of his life story thanks to the attraction the the ghost has on him and the kinship and closeness of his brothers.
