All audiences from 8 years

Wacky and bewildering humour that remains deeply human and moving.

Upsets and surprises!

As the audience enters, a rather odd-looking character full of facial expressions is on stage. Meet Morgon, assistant of Mister Jerry, the star of the show. Yet, just when the performance is about to start... POOF!! Mister Jerry who is hiding back stage disappears in a cloud of smoke. DO NOT PANIC!! Morgon splutters some excuse and tries to cancel the performance. However, the prop girl H.Da ! steps on stage and urges Morgon to replace Mister Jerry. OH!
After duly considering this proposal (a few seconds), Morgon takes up the challenge. But a master needs an assistant. H.Da! who was only waiting for the chance to redden her nose applies for the job right away. The two clowns will try to perform the show, but of course nothing will happen as planned. In all the scenes, be it the flying suitcases, the concert or the séance, H.Da! doesn’t listen to any of the directions. Morgon is totally exasperated by the clumsiness of this impossible assistant and he will call on Mister Jerry’s spirit to help him get rid of her for good. She will nonetheless drive him out of his mind and make him lose his marbles, his stability and any self-control.

Description

Stage clowns, a unique world!

Seeing a production for stage clowns is like stepping into a unique world in which comedy blends with poetry, chaos with order and drama with tomfoolery. On stage, clowns are both naive and fulll of mischief. Anything can amaze them and they are constantly in a state of discovery.

But what is a stage clown? As a close relative of the circus clown, the stage clowns lives in the «here and now» of a performance. Instead of performing acts of daring and skill, stage clowns play with emotions and juggle with the situations that occur. Their response is to look for fun and share it with the audience.

“This brand of acrobatic theater is still theater, with plots, themes, and characters. The group ... simply drives its narratives with back flips and cartwheels more than with dialogue.”

“Montreal's DynamO Theatre company can make anybody laugh - as well as oooh and aaah and erupt in spontaneous applause."
