Being a performer with DynamO Théâtre interests you?
Great! Which means that work combining acrobatic movement and acting is up your alley. If you have gymnastic or acrobatic training as well as theatre training or experience, the company is interested in meeting you. Indeed, the company is constantly looking for performers interested by creative work and available for touring.
Audition format
Auditions are held in Montreal. They begin usually at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m.
The audition session is divided in two parts: the first part targets the candidates’ gymnastic or acrobatic skills and the second part focuses on their acting skills. Candidates need a good understanding of the French language as the company works in French. Following the auditions, the artistic directors may offer a role in one of the productions or a place in the on-going training program
Documents
To be invited to audition, you need to send:
- a cv that emphasizes your gymnastic or acrobatic training or skills and your theatre training and experience
- a good-quality photo of yourself, head shot or head to toe
The coartistic directors base themselves on this material to select the candidates invited to audition. So, it is important to provide a document that shows you in the best possible light. The company welcomes applications year round, since special auditions are sometimes held and the people whose material has been received can be invited to audition.
